Experience an unforgettable night of creativity and talent at Launceston Creates, the city’s freshest arts showcase! Watch artists bring masterpieces to life, local musicians rocking the stage and dazzling performances from Launceston’s finest. Enjoy delicious food trucks, live bands thanks to Alive After 5, family-friendly activities, and interactive fun for all ages.
Curated by VDB’s Artistic Director, Julia Fredersdorff, the Lunchbox Concerts go "beyond the Band" to showcase a rich variety of artists, genres and styles - all for the price of a sandwich. We invite you to enjoy a tempting menu of diverse short-form concerts held in your lunch break, featuring some of Tassie’s finest musical talent alongside interstate and international guests.
Late night trade for the Lighting of the Christmas Tree
This year, Black Friday aligns perfectly with the Lighting of the Christmas Tree again, bringing thousands of visitors into the city! This timing has been a great boost for city retailers in the past, and we're here to help make it even better by promoting businesses that stay open late through our social channels, website, and the Examiner.
If your business plans to stay open, please let us know so we can include you in our marketing and help drive even more foot traffic your way.
Date: Friday 29 November
Time: 5pm - 9pm
Where: Brisbane Street Mall, Quadrant Mall and The Avenue
